Can we come and have a look around the kennels?
Sorry but no. Our kennels have not been open for people to walk around for many years – this is to maintain the welfare of the dogs in our care. You are unlikely to see a dogs true temperament in the kennel. If you are interested in adopting a dog and would like to know more about the process please visit our adoption pages.
Please give us a call during our opening hours. We will need to take some details about you and your pet. Please note we may not be able to help straight away and we do operate a waiting list.
Generally yes, we are always grateful for donations to our animals but please call first as sometimes our stores are full. We can only accept food that is still sealed in the original packaging. If you have good condition fabric dog beds please contact our charity shops directly as we are unable to use these at the shelter but they sell well in our shops. Please note that we cannot accept used wooden items.
We are able to provide limited financial support through our Welfare Assistance Scheme for people in receipt of certain benefits – please call us for further information.
To find out more about our adoption process please visit our adoption pages.
Unfortunately not, although it seems like a nice comfy bedding material our animals do spend time unsupervised and they can rip these things open and may swallow the stuffing.
If you have found any wildlife please visit our information pages for further advice. Please note we do not have a vet on site.
Yes, but due to the demand we only offer work experience placements to people studying in a relevant field. Please send us an email with your details and details of the length of the placement required. Please note we cannot offer work experience placements at the shelter to anyone under the age of 16.
