Meet the beautiful Tamar, a 2 year old female Lurcher. Tamar is looking for a home that can give her plenty of exercise as well as mental stimulation to keep her brain busy. Tamar will benefit greatly from some fun positive training classes, to teach her the basic commands. She can be a little unsure when meeting new people, but it doesn’t take her long to gain your trust. We feel Tamar would benefit from plenty of company, with a family who can build up time being left alone slowly. Tamar can be over exuberant when greeting dogs which some dogs may not enjoy! She may be able to share a home with a dog who is used to a bit of rough and tumble, this will very much be pending good introductions here at the shelter. She will not be able to share a home with any small furries. Any children in the home will need to be older (10 years+) and used to being around bouncy, excitable dogs. If you have a fun and active home, please get in touch with the dog team.

If you are interested in Tamar, please ring 07748 629202 to speak to one of the dog team during our opening hours. During busy periods the phone may only be on between 2pm and 4pm, so please bear with us and try again.
